This morning the enlarged session of the SCO Summit of Head of States with participation of head of observer states, high-ranking guests and numerous representatives of regional and world organizations continued its work.

The Head of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon supported the Guidelines of SCO Development Strategy for long-term prospect and highly evaluated its significance in further strengthening of good neighborly relations, friendship and cooperation.

“We should protect the “SCO house” that we have built with joint efforts and do our best that every member of our great family feels itself secure”, - accentuated President of Tajikistan.

Emomali Rahmon also supported the adoption of a new three-year Programme for fight against terrorism, extremism and separatism and other important submitted documents.

The regular high-level session of SCO finished with signing of 10 new documents of cooperation and press-release of the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Hu Jintao, who spoke on behalf of the heads of all member states.

According to adopted decisions, Afghanistan was granted status of observer state and Turkey was given the status of its dialogue partner.
