The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon signed the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Amnesty" that coincided with the 25th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan.

It is worth noting that the law aims to implement the principle of humanity. On October 16, 2019, President Emomali Rahmon was presented for consideration with the draft law “On Amnesty” by the Assembly of Representatives.

The law applies to more than 20,000 people who have been convicted of crimes, including minors, women, individulas with disabilities, foreign citizens and others.

The relevant authorities must fully implement the law within two months and submit a detailed report to President Emomali Rahmon.
