The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon attended the opening ceremony of the new buildings of the Tajikistan Presidential Lyceum for gifted children in Dushanbe. He was accompanied by the Chairman of the National Assembly, Chairman of  Dushanbe Rustam Emomali.

Following the opening ceremony, President Rahmon instructed the officials of the school to establish a kindergarten for 300 children by the beginning of the next academic year and to attract qualified specialists.

While visiting the Shohmansur district, the officials attended the opening of the newly-built secondary educational Institution No: 102, which will be able to accommodate 2400 students in two shifts. It was built by the presidential order as part of the events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence.

The new school was built by Hurmatullo Zaydov, a local entrepreneur, and the head of Tajikhydromontazh.

The officials met with the teachers and students in the spacious hall of the school and wished them success in the new academic year.

President Rahmon spoke about the state and future developments of education and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

He noted that in order to further improve the conditions of education and create modern educational opportunities, dozens of educational institutions are being built, with most planned to be opened before the 30th anniversary of independence.

He also stressed that the younger generations should learn from the past and strive to strengthen peace and stability, and contribute to the protection and stability of our national statehood.

The declaration of 2020-2040 as the period of learning and development of natural and hard sciences should facilitate the building of a brighter future and strengthening the technical knowledge and skills of the younger generation, he added.

President Rahmon pointed to the necessity of increasing the number of hours devoted to mathematics and natural sciences, without reducing the hours dedicated to humanitarian subjects.
