On the same day the President of the country Emomali Rahmon also initiated the construction of a number of new facilities in Khorugh city and put in commission a number of other facilities.
In Khorugh firstly the Head of State Emomali Rahmon visited the border detachment and initiated the construction of a number of its new buildings, including administrative building, new educational centre, two six-stored residential buildings with 48 apartments for law enforcement officers, sports field and a park for vehicles and military machinery. Emomali Rahmon highlighted that all these buildings will be put in commission before November 2013.
Moreover, an implementation of water-supply project for Khorugh city has been officially launched with the participation of the Head of State Emomali Rahmon.
As it was informed, the total budget of this project is 17 million 222 thousand Somoni and in the first phase with expense of about 9 million Somoni pure drinking water will be supplied to Khorugh city from Boghivdara site of Shughnon district which is situated in about 15 km.
A big clothing factory has also been put in commission in Khorugh city, where around 200 persons will be permanently employed. This enterprise has been constructed by the Agency of Special Property Supply under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and there mainly sewing of military clothing for law enforcement officers, blankets and other garments will be carried out.
