Today, a meeting has been held marking the 18th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan with the participation of the President of the country Emomali Rahmon.
The gathering devoted to the Day of Tajikistan’s Constitution, which has concurred with the eve of the twentieth anniversary of the XVI Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan, has commenced with Head of State’s entering the hall.
The Head of State Emomali Rahmon has stated that the new Constitution of Tajikistan has defined the construction of legal, democratic and secular society as a main goal of our state, as well as embodied in itself the supreme values and invaluable national and universal traditions and customs.
As it was stressed, “the Constitution of Tajikistan as an expression of will and a beacon of people’s life is really a crucial document, which defined the statehood system and ensures the protection of human rights and freedoms”.
