This morning official visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon was continued in Ankara City.
During the tete-a-tete meeting the heads of both states – Emomali Rahmon and Abdullah Gul expressed satisfaction over the consistency of political top-level relations, content of friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation.
At the tete-a-tete meeting of both heads of state and official negotiations with the participation of the expanded delegations of both sides the issues of multifaceted cooperation, including in the sectors of economy and trade, industry, energy, transport, agriculture, healthcare, education, science and technology and attraction of capital have been reviewed.
A constructive talk has also been held on the regional and international issues, as well as on the cooperation in the framework of international organisations.
At the end of talks 9 other cooperation documents have been signed in the presence of the heads of state:
-Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the National Bank of Tajikistan and Central Bank of Turkey;
-Agreement on Cooperation between the Committee for Television and Radio under the Government of Tajikistan and Television and Radio Union of Turkey;
- Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Cattle-Breeding of Turkey on Cooperation in Agriculture;
- Agreement between the Government of Tajikistan and the Government of Turkey on Cooperation in the Area of Youth and Sports;
- Memorandum of Cooperation between the Government of Tajikistan and the Government of Turkey on Cooperation in the Area of Energy and Mineral Industry;
-Joint Declaration on Cooperation between the Ministries of Justice of Tajikistan and Turkey;
-Programme of Cultural Exchange between the Government of Tajikistan and the Government of Turkey;
-Cooperation Programme between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and Turkey for 2013-2014.
At the end the heads of state signed a Joint Declaration on the Results of Official Visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Turkey.
It should be reminded that since now the legal-treaty basis of cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkey consisted of 50 documents. During this visit 16 new cooperation documents have been signed in general, which demonstrate the promising results of this visit.
During the joint press-conference the President of Tajikistan thanked his Turkish counterpart Abdullo Gul and other governing bodies of Turkey for good will and interest in the development of cooperation in different sectors and called friendly relations between the two countries as promising.
Abdullah Gul was invited to pay a friendly visit to Tajikistan.
