Today, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon met with the Vice President of India Mohammad Hamid Ansari.
The issues of multidimensional cooperation between Tajikistan, including strengthening of ties in the spheres of policy, security, economy and trade, investment, science and technology, education, health and culture have been reviewed at the meeting.
With particular reference to economic cooperation, it was stressed that the current volume of trade turnover between Tajikistan and India does not answer the existing opportunities. As it was mentioned, the legal basis of relations between the two countries consists of over 50 intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents.
