Today, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Putrajay City which is considered as a new capital of Malaysia and got acquainted with remarkable achievements of big administrative center of this developed country of South-East Asia.
Familiarization with Putrajaya mainly took place in Putrajaya Corporation through briefing.
As it was informed, Putrajaya’s construction began in 1996 and the main cause for establishment of new capital was rapid increase and density of population in Kuala Lumpur.
Putrajaya is mainly an administrative center of Malaysia, and up to date already the majority of ministries, departments and other central state agencies, including working offices of Prime Minister of the country, have been moved from Kuala Lumpur to this city.
During the acquaintance and beneficial talks both sides have come to an agreement to open Embassy of Tajikistan in Putrajaya city. The Malaysian side stated that before the construction of a separate building they will present our embassy with temporary rental residence and the first three years of rent will be free of charge. At the same time, land plot was allocated for construction of separate building of the Embassy of Tajikistan in Malaysia, so that this cause be accomplished in the shortest period.
Head of Tajik state Emomali Rahmon instructed that the Embassy of Tajikistan in Malaysia begin its work from now on.
President of Tajikistan also visited the land allocated for construction of the embassy’s building which stretches in the area of more than 1 hectares. As it emerged, it is located in the best area of center of Putrajaya city.
