President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a congratulatory telegram to the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, which, reads in particular:

On the occasion of the anniversary of the national holiday of the Republic of Belarus it gives me great pleasure on behalf of the people and Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to extend you my most sincere and heartfelt congratulations.

We appreciate the achieved level of cooperation between our countries which gained in recent years the effective dynamics for further expansion and deepening, and based on the principles of mutual respect and trust.

I hope that our decisions during my official visit to your beautiful country, will give new impetus to the mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries. I want to assure you of the Tajik party to do everything possible for the realization of these agreements for the further expansion and deepening of our bilateral relations.
