Meeting with intelligentsia of the country

Today, President Emomali Rahmon, following a good Navruz tradition, on the eve of this great international celebration held a fruitful meeting with the intelligentsia of the country, which took place in Kokhi Navruz.
At the beginning of the meeting, which was held in the grand hall Zarandud of Kokhi Navruz, President Emomali Rahmon congratulated the participants, all the people of Tajikistan, overseas compatriots and all those who honors this international holiday.
President of the country, recalling the glorious Navruz traditions that for millennia have come a long path and survived, achieved the status of an international festival, expressed confidence that the Tajik intellectuals, as the true heirs of Navruz, who played a leading role in its promotion in the world community and are in this respect the continuer of the great sons of Tajik literature as Dakiki, Firdavsi, Biruni, Gardezi and Omar Khayyam.
Then, a conversation took place during which intellectuals shared their opinions and views.
Poet Gulrukhsor Safieva, recalling the close connection of Tajik poetry and literature from ancient Navruz, offered to hold annually in Tajikistan evening of poetry dedicated to the International Navruz.
Speeches were also delivered by a teacher and a young journalist from the district of Abdurahmoni Jomi of Khatlon region Nasim Kosimov, a young scientist of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan Dilshod Mulloev, young actor of Academic Drama Theatre named after Abulkosim Lohuti Shujoat Jamoliddinov, a second-year Master of Tajik State Pedagogical University named after Aini Mavjuda Imomnazarova and director of the state film studio "Tajikfilm" Nosir Saidov.
