Today, President Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the chairman of Faizobod district Imomnazar Karimiyon in connection with a landslide which killed 10 residents of the district.
During the telephone conversation the chairman of the district informed the President about the causes of natural disaster, as well as on the course of restoration works.
The President instructed the chairman of the district to promptly deliver aid of the Government of the country to affected families and to convey President's condolences to the bereaved families.
On instruction of the Head of State, a government commission has been created headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Azim Ibrohim, which is composed of the Minister of Internal Affairs Ramazon Rahimzoda, chairman of the State Committee for National Security Saymumin Yatimov, chairman of the State Committee on Land Management and Geodesy Akbar Yatimzoda, heads of other relevant authorities and agencies. The government commission is at the scene.
